5 things we noticed at Celtic training as Shane Duffy already settles into leadership role

Aston Villa, Arsenal, Leicester City and Brighton are among numerous sides to have been linked with Edouard of late, but he remains a Celtic player and their most important one at that.
The Frenchman sustained a thigh injury against Dundee United at Tannadice in August, and missed the Champions League defeat against Ferencvaros as well as the league win over Motherwell.
He scored for France’s Under-21s against Azerbaijan in midweek, however, and looks set to be back in the side for tomorrow’s match.
Leigh Griffiths is yet to feature for Celtic this season after returning from lockdown in an unacceptable condition and picking up an injury during a training session, but a return could be in sight for the striker.
He’s been stepping up his fitness work, and was seen laughing with his team-mates at today’s session while getting stuck in.
The Ross County match will come too early for Griffiths, but he’s expected to be back in contention soon.
Boyhood fan Shane Duffy is clearly revelling in his new life at Celtic.
The Irish defender was seen laughing it up with fellow new signing David Turnbull, while soaking up advice from Kristoffer Ajer.
Duffy could feature alongside Ajer at the heart of the defence, but the likes of Milan, Leicester and West Brom have been mentioned in connection with the Swede.
It’s been 15 months since David Turnbull initially posed in a Celtic shirt, but he could finally wear it in action for the club this weekend.
He was an unused substitute against former side Motherwell in the final match before the international break, and will be hoping for a taste of the action in Dingwall.
With 15 goals in just 31 games from midfield for Motherwell during the 2018/19 season, he could be a vital figure for Lennon if he’s given a run in the side.
Tom Rogic is another who can provide goals from midfield, but it appeared earlier this summer that his time in Glasgow was coming to an end.
A deal was struck with a Qatari side in August, but the deal fell through after the 27-year-old failed to agree personal terms.
Rogic could now be set for a return to the side in the coming days. Problems with his knee and ankle mean he won’t be available for tomorrow’s game, but Lennon confirmed that he’ll be available for Wednesday’s match against St Mirren.
He was seen laughing with team-mate Ryan Christie during today’s session, and a fully-fit Rogic could put smiles on the faces of Celtic fans.
